Best Overall: Supergoop Superscreen Daily Moisturizer SPF 40

When I first tested this for the Glamour Beauty Awards, I knew instantly it’d be a winner. It’s like no other SPF moisturizer I’d ever tried. It soaks right in, and my skin feels immediately plump and bouncy, which could be attributed to the formula’s inclusion of blue-green algae, an ingredient with nourishing benefits and antioxidants. The cream is rich enough to hydrate my dry skin and leave a pretty glow, but it doesn’t leave an oily residue. And most important, it creates a perfect canvas for makeup, with no flashback or pilling. I love it so much I tell everyone I talk to about it. It’s that good. —Bella Cacciatore, beauty associate

Best Drugstore: Aveeno Positively Radiant Facial Moisturizer SPF 30

Every derm I talk to repeats the same advice over and over: The best thing you can do for your skin is wear sunscreen. Even still, I’m terrible at following that advice, which is why I turned to moisturizers with SPF years ago. It makes it easier to make sure I don’t skip sun protection. I’ve tried every expensive option out there, but honestly, none compete with Aveeno’s basic daily moisturizer. It’s lightweight, rubs in easily, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. And if that doesn’t sell you, Jennifer Aniston also swears by it. —Lindsay Schallon, senior beauty editor

Best for Sensitive Skin: CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30

Lately, my skin has developed these tiny little bumps known as comedones around my chin and cheeks. I was told by my dermatologist to look for products labeled noncomedogenic (i.e., non-pore-clogging). CeraVe’s moisturizer is clinically proven to prevent oil buildup, therefore diminishing those stubborn clogged pores of mine. It also contains niacinamide to help keep skin calm, as well as ceramides to strengthen your skin barrier—meaning it’s optimal for anyone with sensitive skin. The last great thing about it: Since I have dark skin, I’m always worried when a product (especially one with SPF) dispenses white, but after rubbing it in, there was no white cast in sight. —Talia Gutierrez, beauty assistant

The formula protects your skin from both UVA and UVB rays, and it’s made with botanicals that help your skin retain moisture. There’s also no white cast from the sunscreen, which is a must. —E.P.

Best Color Corrector: Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30

When this hydrating, color-correcting, irritation-healing do-it-all cream launched years ago, there were fights in the office about who would get to take a jar home. That’s because this stuff is legit like magic. As I mentioned, yes, it hydrates like a moisturizer, and it contains SPF 30, but that’s only a fraction of its power. Its star ingredient is tiger grass (also called cica), which is rich in anti-inflammatory properties. Cica can help calm irritated skin and has been proved to aid in wound healing. In other words, not only does this color corrector completely cover all the redness from my rosacea—it helps decrease it. It’s a true game changer. —L.S.
