Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar

Any product that removes the layer of grime that accumulates on my skin after a day of running between workouts and meetings in the city is always a winner to me. But since I also have really sensitive skin, I’m very picky about the products I use. I love this super-gentle mask-meets-scrub. It buffs off buildup right before my eyes and leaves my skin feeling soft—not stripped. —Macaela Mackenzie, senior health editor

This refining serum is like glass skin in a bottle. I’ve been using it twice a week, but even after the first night I noticed a difference in my skin. Thanks to the combo of vitamin A (a.k.a. retinol), moisturizing beet, and omega-infused seaberry fruit extract, the texture I have from old acne was visibly softer and smoother. Bliss Hydration Salvation Moisturizing Camellia Facial Oil

As someone who still has trust issues with oil—blame it on years of breakouts—this won me over with fermented camellia oil. The fermentation process breaks the oil into smaller, weightless particles that don’t feel greasy and sink in quickly, delivering tons of moisture and antioxidants to deeper layers of skin. —D.P.

Sephora Collection Goji Rubber Mask

If there’s one thing that’s better than a face mask, it’s a mask that feels like a science experiment. The Sephora Collection Goji Rubber Mask is no exception. Mixing the powdery formula with water to create a rubbery slime is the ultimate in mad beauty science. Not only is this mask fun to use, but it works. The rubber texture is great for locking in moisture, and it peels off so there’s no need to rinse. The ingredients are great too: Goji berries are packed full of antioxidants to leave skin looking brighter and more refreshed, and the coconut water is super soothing. —B.C.

Owning a Diptyque candle is practically a rite of passage. But if minimal isn’t your style, it can feel a bit much to shell out over $60 for a candle. The brand’s new Valentine’s collection, a collaboration with illustrator Jeanne Detallante, is still very chic and very French, but the bright colors make it a little more fun, and a true collector’s item. Plus, the fresh rose smell is divine, and Diptyque candles are some of the longest lasting out there. Go on, treat yourself. —B.C.
